In the first episode of the new series of Nowness, Grazia magazine fashion editor Carla Vanni is called upon to respond to the sudden 'invasion'

Besides four walls and a roof, our homes are mostly made up of collections of objects, which have been selected by us over years, maybe even decades.

Objects can say a lot about the people who collect them and each individual object has a story to tell.

insitu.reviews is a Nowness mini-series, inspired by Gavin Youngs and Alessandro Bonavita, in which an unknown, foreign design object is introduced into a space. Does the design match the space and will the object finally be able to find its place in the house?

In this first episode of the series, the fashion editor of Grazia magazine, Carla Vanni, is asked to criticize a design object about which she knows nothing. He only sees it. This is a seat designed by Germans Ermičs. The Dutch creator has used colored and smoked glass, weakening the transparency of the material.

Youngs and Bonavita explain that when a "seemingly random design object appears in a house, without knowing its creator and without further explanation, the design is forced to 'speak' for itself".
